Survey

Thesis

More ‘academic’ courses benefit from increased study time and decreased ‘leisure’ time as a result, whereas ‘arts’ courses see little to no benefit from increased study time and therefore allow for more ‘leisure’ time.

The intent of the survey is to gather data to prove or disprove my thesis.

Note that no identifying or sensitive information (emails, names, genders) will be published or shared in any way that could potentially identify an individual. The data is only collect to ensure response uniqueness.

Certain browsers may warn that this site is 'insecure'. While it is safe to enter any non-sensitive data, I would not reccomend sharing your passwords, banking info or anything of a similar nature over the survey.

This website is hosted on an Oracle Cloud virtual machine running Canonical Ubuntu 22.04 on an Ampere ARM type processor with 6GB of system RAM.

The survey itself is written in HTML with small amounts of CSS and JavaScript. It is run on Apache 2.

Data is processed for storage and sent by some poorly written PHP which sends your survey data to a MySQL database to be stored for later use.

Eventually, I hope to implement some live graphs of response data. Although this is not priority at the moment I should be able to implement it within the next week or so. Check back sometime to see if I follow through on that!
